Katto Rising Tides

Hilta has a dream: to never grow old. Currently 95 years old, she enrolled in the Federal University of Santa Catarina to pursue a degree in Portuguese only 19 years ago. This is just one of the many chapters of her life. In this short documentary, the writer rambles about her story: the family, the longing, deaths and poetry. Memories and memories merge with old pictures, images of Florianópolis - Brazil, in the 1920s merge with today's filming. Reports and weave dreamlike impressions and affective universe, writing a personal diary about love and life.
